What's included in the $1 exam?
The $1 exam covers a nose to tail physical examination of your pet (ears, dental, skin, etc.) as well as the consultation to address any concerns or questions you may have. If there are any diagnostics, treatments, vaccinations, or medications that are recommended for your pet based on the exam and consultation, those would be an additional fee.
*If you are already a client at our clinic but you have a new pet, you qualify for the $1 new patient exam.
Do you see both cats and dogs?
Yes! We see both cats and dogs here at Dixie Road Animal Hospital. While we do love all kinds of animals, we are unable to provide care for exotic pets.
Is the $1 exam a sales gimmick?
No tricks! No catch!
It’s a one-time offer for new clients: a complete wellness exam for just $1 (our exam fee is currently ~$125 + tax) Vaccines, treatments, or other services are optional and not included, but there’s no obligation to purchase anything.
Do you take pet insurance?
Yes—pet insurance is welcome here. Coverage and reimbursement depend on your policy.
